Homer Boyd Dorton Jr.

Entered into eternal rest on February 8, 2015, Homer Boyd Dorton, Jr., widower of Frankie Harrison Dorton. Homer was born in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Homer B. Dorton, Sr. and the late Edith Fanning Dorton. He was a graduate of Chicora High School and attended the College of Charleston. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy, Homer retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a Management Analyst with 31 years of service. Mr. Dorton is survived by sons, Robert Wayne Dorton and Christopher Bradley Dorton (Dawn); daughters, Wendy Rene Whitfield (Melvin) and Bonita Louise Dorton and grandchildren, Michael (Summer), David, Ashtin, and Jeremy Dorton and Victoria Gray (Jeremy) and great grandchildren, William, Kayleigh and Blaine.
