James R. Hagberg was born in Oakland, CA on July 30, 1944. He departed this world on February 13, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Janice B. Hagberg.
He leaves behind 2 sisters, a brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by a son, Ronald Hagberg of Florida; a daughter, Joy Springfield of Summerville, SC; and another daughter, Jan Kirkland of Maine; his 5 grandchildren are Tripton Lunsford, Gabriel Lunsford, Christian Kirkland, Ashley Kirkland, and Jason Springfield.
James will be forever missed and remembered for his quirky adventures and unique witticisms. He was an Air Force veteran and retired as a civil service governmental employee.
There will be a celebration of life for James this Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 194 George Keen Drive in Summerville at 3pm. It will be an informal drop in, and the family would enjoy sharing stories of this wonderful man that his grandchildren affectionately called Pappy.
