Larry Ronald Fox, born on January 14, 1945, died on December 26 in his home on Seabrook Island, SC, which he shared with his wife of 35 years, Barbara Radlin Fox. He had two sons, Clayton Marshall Fox and daughter-in-law Jennifer of Chicago and Jonathan Radlin Fox and his significant other Stephanie Toth of the Washington, DC area. Larry grew up in Louisville, KY and attended the University of Kentucky. While in college he worked at the Lexington Herald and then worked as an editor at The St. Petersburg Gazette. He retired from The Washington Post after a 35 year career there in various editing and writing positions. He was also co-author with his wife of seven travel books and a nationally syndicated travel column. First and foremost, Larry was a loving husband and father and dog lover and was humble and well liked by most people he came in contact with. He was incredibly well-read and particularly enjoyed history and politics. He was a patron of the visual and theatre arts. Memorials may be made to The Village Repertory Theater, www.villageplayhouse.com , PURE Theatre in Charleston, SC, www.puretheatre.org , or to help the State of Israel through The Jewish Agency, www.jewishagency.org .
