Michael Harris Stephen Parker

Michael “Harris” Stephen Parker, 33, of Johns Island, died December 3, 2016. Harris was born November 3, 1983 in Knoxville, TN. He grew up in Kingsport, TN, attended Kingsport Christian School and graduated from South High School in 2001. After high school, Harris moved to upstate New York for culinary school. He lived and worked at several restaurants as a chef and a baker in the Lake Placid area for eight years. In 2009, he moved to South Carolina and enjoyed working as the Chef for Chez Fish on Johns Island until its closing in 2015. Most recently, he worked as a Chef for LoKal in the Bohicket Marina on Johns Island. Harris always put others before himself. He was always a man of his word and was a good son and brother and a great friend to many. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed. A Celebration of Harris’ Life will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 347 Folly Road, James Island.
