Thomas Kahle Pickhardt Jr.

Thomas Kahle Pickhardt, Jr. 71, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014. He was born in Queens, NY, son of the late Thomas K. and Alice F. Pickhardt. He graduated from Garden City High School, Garden City, New York. He attended Hofstra University and Kent State University. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Tom was a lifelong businessman. His joy was time spent with his children and grandchildren. His passion was feeding those in need. Tom is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Scherer), sons, David (Jamie) of Charleston, Mark (Allison) of Mt. Pleasant, Ryan (Austen) of Greenville, SC, a daughter, Julie of Mt. Pleasant, nine grandchildren, a brother, Paul G. Pickhardt of Simpsonville, SC and a sister, Nancy Davidson of Arizona. A memorial service will be at 2 pm, Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Christ Church, Highway 17N, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Christ Church Building Fund or East Cooper Meals on Wheels.
