W.E. 'Mac' McCranie

W.E. “Mac” McCranie passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Walterboro. Born Feb 11, 1931 to Tom and Lillie Mae McCranie, Mac was the owner/operator at Walterboro Horse Auction and Circle M Ranch. A lifelong Horseman, he loved animals and children, with the combination of the two being his favorite. His love of horses kept him active with the ranch and auction until recently. A true trader at heart, he was a man that was truly of an era past. He is survived by sons, Gerald McCranie and Darrell McCranie; daughters, Judy McCranie and Debbie McCranie; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Hubert McCranie, and sister, Tommie McCranie. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Lee McCranie, James McCranie, Sam McCranie, Monroe McCranie and Jimmy McCranie; sisters, Grace Martin, Libby Patrick, Vancene Tindal; children, William 'Bill Jr.' McCranie Jr. and Annette McCranie. At Mac's request there will not be a funeral or any services at a funeral home. There will be a Celebration Of Life at Walterboro Horse Auction per his wishes.
