William Monroe Burkhalter Sr.

William Monroe Burkhalter Sr., 86 of Charleston, died on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at his residence. Born Wednesday, August 1, 1928 in Bath, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Fed Burckhalter and the late Lois Joyner Burckhalter. He served as a TSGT in the Air Force 1946 until 1966. Surviving are eight children, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill is also survived by five brothers and one sister. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at St. Andrews Parish United Methodist Church located at 3225 Ashley River Road Charleston, SC 29414.
