Willie Aldridge

Willie H. Aldridge, 86, of Charleston, SC, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer after twenty years of service in the US Navy and Coast Guard. Never one to sit idle, he continued his career as an electrician at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. After a long distance courtship with his wife-to-be, Mary Ann Tams of Londonderry, Northern Ireland, they eventually married in Miami, Florida in 1955. A Jack-of-all-trades, he built his family home from the ground up with his father in 1967. Preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his two sons, George Kevin Aldridge and his wife Brenda of Cypress, Texas, and Michael Aldridge of Charleston, SC; a daughter, Donna Amerson of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and grandchildren, Amber and Daniel Amerson and Jasmine and Connor Aldridge. ARRANGEMENTS BY PALMETTO CREMATION SOCIETY, CHARLESTON, SC.
