Alan Milton Adams

 

Alan was born on September 28, 1949 in San Antonio, TX to the late S/MSGT Bennie Adams and Mrs. Margarite Adams. In the early 1960's the family made their way back to Mt. Pleasant. He graduated from Moultrie HS in 1969. That's where he met the love of his life, Mildred Rountree. They were married on September 5, 1970 and spent nearly 52 years of wedded happiness together. Alan worked for GE and Bayer for a combined 35 plus years until retirement then he did some part-time odds and ends. Alan's favorite hobby was to be out hunting with his partner in crime Larry Windham and his good friend Lowell Leopold. He also enjoyed being on the golf course with his dear friend Russell Lamb. He was a loving and caring individual that was always there to lend a hand and provide the best friendship to anyone possible. He never met a stranger.

 

He is survived by his loving wife, Mildred Adams of Mt. Pleasant, SC, one son, Jim Adams (Michelle) of Panama City Beach, FL, a granddaughter, Skyler Adams of Oceanside, CA, one sister, Pat Adams Snyder (Dick) of Midland, TX, and several nieces and nephews.

 

Alan will be immensely missed. He will forever be in our hearts. We love you Alan, Dad, Papa, Uncle Alan. Go Tigers!

 

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
