Andrew Peter Goodhope (Pete) Met our Lord on May 03, 2022, with his devoted wife and family by his side. He was born on May 16, 1954, in Washington, DC.

Pete grew up with his family in Wheaton, MD where he still has so many friends. He graduated from Wheaton High School and received an AA from Montgomery College. He was renowned for his quick, sharp wit, as well as his giant heart. He met his future wife, JoAnn and they moved to Charleston to begin a beautiful life together. As a longtime resident of Walterboro, SC, he was a Commercial Painter and Home Services Craftsman, treasured by his customers for his friendship as well as his excellence.

Pete had a love for life that he shared with everyone around, near and far. With so many plans for the future, we are left to fulfill his legacy. He will be missed, remembered, and loved by so many.

Pete is survived by his wife, JoAnn Goodhope, the Love of his Life. Also by his siblings, Catherine Anne Goodhope (Robert Kershner), Mary Susan Avon, Elizabeth Jane Garrity (Desmond Garrity), Margaret Ellen Wolfenden (Ian Wolfenden), Rita Marie Goodhope (Harry Weiben), Nancy Jean Goodhope, his nephews, nieces and many extended family members, friends and loved ones. He was preceded in life by his father, Andrew Clement Goodhope and his mother, LouRita Lillian Goodhope.

One of the wonderful legacies Pete has already fulfilled is that he was an organ donor. Through his selfless gift Pete has given the gift of eye sight and love to two people.

The Celebration of His Life will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers please send Memorials to the Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter (FoCCAS) viaPayPal Foccas.sc@gmail.com.
