Annemarie Canady

October 19, 1960 — April 25, 2024

Goose Creek

Anne (Annemarie) Canady, 63 of Goose Creek, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 after a 3 year battle with cancer.

Born on October 19, 1960 in Pforzheim, Germany, was the Daughter the Marieanne Hofmann and Franz Hofmann.

Anne's family moved to America when she was 7 and lived in several states growing up and became a citizen when she was 18. She worked at Robert Bosch in North Charleston along with her husband Jim for 34 years before they retired together. She enjoyed traveling both inside and outside of the U.S. and traveled in their camper with their dogs (which were her children to her) for many trips. Anne was a wood carver and won a blue ribbon at the Coastal Carolina Fair and sold her carvings at art and craft shows.

Annemarie is preceded in death by her brother Al.

Annemarie is survived by Jim (James) Canady (Husband), Marieanne Hofmann (Mother), Franz Hofmann (Father) and her sisters, Christine, Susie, Margaret and brother Peter.

The family will have a Memorial Service on Saturday May 11 2024 at John McCants Veterans Park, 355 Anita Dr. Goose Creek, SC, 29445 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. This is a very informal gathering like Anne wanted, be comfortable and wear jeans, shorts, whatever you would like. There is a dog area if anyone wants to bring their puppies, a playground and picnic tables and restrooms available. I'll have some of Anne's carvings and art on display so you can see some of the things she was doing since retirement.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkeley County Animal Center.
