Annie M. Armstrong

Annie McClees Armstrong entered into eternal rest on December 9, 2017.

Annie was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky on September 9, 1931, one of eight children to be born to Ivery C. and Nellie M. McClees.

She is survived by one brother, Ernest Luke McClees of Louisville, Kentucky, her daughter Carol Howe (Jimmy), her son Jim Armstrong (Julie), her grandchildren William Howe (Stephanie), Edward Howe, Bryant Armstrong, Cole Armstrong and Imogene Armstrong, all of Charleston.
Annie retired from Allstate Insurance Company in Schaumburg, Illinois. During her years in Schaumburg she was an active member of St. John United Church of Christ where she was an enthusiastic and devoted member of the St. John Womens Guild.

Following her retirement, she returned to Charleston in 2008. Annie delighted and deeply enriched the lives of her family, friends and neighbors with her wonderful spirit, positive personality and ever-present smile. She encouraged, uplifted and blessed us all with her amazing grace.

All services will be private. Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, 1475 W. Algonquin Road, Palantine, Illinois 60067.
