Listen to Obituary

Arthur James Riley, Jr, a proud Navy veteran, dedicated union worker, and beloved husband, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, with his family by his side.

Born on April 30, 1945 in New Haven, Connecticut, Jim - known as "Jim" to his Southern friends and "Riley" to his Connecticut family -  lived a full and meaningful life marked by loyalty, strong friendships, and quiet pride in his honorable service to the United States Navy.

At home, Jim found great joy in his community, especially in the cul-de-sac he cherished and took pride in. It was a place where friendships grew and memories were made. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a man who deeply valued his wife, his friends and the simple pleasures in life. His steady presence and quiet strength left a lasting impression on those closest to him - friends he considered family.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Dreamer Turner Riley.

A celebration of life will be held on April 30 in his beloved cul-de-sac. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T) in his honor.
