Beryl Fisher Geer, age 84, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed from this life on June 26, 2026. Born on July 5, 1941, in Gary, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Louise Underwood. Beryl was a tireless worker who dedicated many years of her life to the borough of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania in dual roles; she managed the borough's swimming pool and served as a baker and lunch lady at Wyomissing Area High School. Known for her generosity, Beryl touched countless lives with her kindness, especially during the holiday season.
Outside of her professional life, Beryl had a fondness for playing slot machines and cherished the family trip to Las Vegas for Christmas in 2024. She loved and valued her time with family and friends in Rehoboth Beach, DE and Charleston, SC. Her vibrant spirit and love for life were infectious to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Beryl was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Geer. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Kenny Underwood, and parents-in-law Robert and Jewell Geer. Left to treasure her memory are her sons, Allen Geer (Betty) and Jeffrey Geer (Shannon), and her daughter, Elizabeth (Geer) Rhoads (John). She was the proud grandmother of Malaika Borni (Paul), Tyler Geer (Andrea), Connor Geer (Yu-Chen), Robbie Geer, Aliyah Geer (Katie), Devin Rhoads, Logan Rhoads, and Baylor Geer. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Kathy Underwood. Beryl's love for her family extended to their four-legged companions, especially her grand-dog, Asher.
A Celebration of Beryl's Life will be held in Sarasota, Florida during Easter 2027. Further details will be shared with family and friends closer to the time. Beryl will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her generosity and love for her community, and her spirited approach to the joys of life. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
As we mourn her loss, we celebrate her life, her contributions, and her enduring spirit. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a charity she cared deeply about.
