Cameron "Cam" Michael Lines of Summerville passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2023, at the age of 50.
Born in Charleston on July 6, 1973, to the late William Michael Lines and Carole Amell Lines, Cam is survived by his life partner, Sara Parks, his mother, Carole, his sister, Shannon Lines-Young (Mike), his nephew, Lawton Michael Lines and his grandmother, Anna Postell.
He attended high school at Mims Academy where he lettered in football, baseball and basketball. He studied at Trident Technical College and later followed in his father’s footsteps pursuing a career in land surveying.
Cam enjoyed many sports and hobbies including hunting, fishing, football, motorcycles and especially golfing with his father and uncles. His love of golf continued after the passing of his father and became a lifelong passion. Also, on top of his athletic success in high school, he became a South Carolina State Champion in boxing at just 13 years old in 1986. Cam’s favorite sports teams were the Georgia Bulldogs (Go Dawgs!) and the Carolina Panthers whom he passionately supported.
Cam worked on several large projects in South Carolina and Nevada. His proudest accomplishments, however, were the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge in Charleston and Nevada Solar One (a concentrated solar power plant) in Boulder City.
Out of all his enjoyments, Cam's greatest passion was spending time with his family and making people laugh. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
