Carolyn Rose Powless
"Mimi" as we called her was the matriarch of our family, with our father passing in 2001. She had a vibrant personality and was always on the go. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and outgoing personality. She loved her family and friends dearly.
She was preceded in death by husband Royal Glenn Powless, her parents Edward and Adeline Prokop, brothers Robert and Edward Prokop and nephew Christopher Prokop.
She is survived by her "girls" Lucia Powless, Carolyn Hlavac (Dan) and Kathy Swittenberg. Grandchildren Melissa Couture (Bryan), Meghan Lord (Dave), Haley Swittenberg, Nicole Hlavac, Tina Doxteter and Robert Burford. Her great grandchildren, Will Couture, Natalie Vadney, Adeline Couture, Isabel Couture, Jack Vadney, Christina Laos and Lindsey Ash (Brett). Her brother Wayne Prokop (Dee) and sister in law Brenda Prokop and nephew Robert Prokop (Karen). And special neighbor Linda Sigman.
A celebration on life will be held Tuesday, May 28th at 1PM at St. James Anglican Church, 1101 Camp Road, Charleston, SC 29412. Light refreshments to follow. Burial will be private.
