Catherine O'Connor Rice, 59, passed away on March 27, 2024 in Charleston, SC.

She was born on August 10, 1964, daughter of Gary and Carol Taggart O'Connor in New Milford, CT.

She graduated from New Milford High School and continued her education at Trinity Washington University in Washington, DC, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government.

During her lifetime, she had a diverse career and held many positions including as a speech writer at the White House during the Reagan administration and as founder and CEO of an information technology company, subsequently relocating from Annapolis, MD to Summerville, SC.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Michael Rice of Summerville, SC, her cherished son, Patrick Rice, her parents, her brother, Gary O'Connor, and several nieces and nephews.

Services and interment private.

Dedicated donations to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) or the International Primate Protection League (IPPL) are appreciated.
