Charlene Mode , 82, was from Michigan but moved to South Carolina many years ago. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Stewart and Virginia Stewart ( Mestach). as well as two husbands, Jean-Christian Bouchard and Salvatore Mode. Charlene is survived by her sister Catherine Howard Wells ( Stewart) and many nieces and nephews.

Charlene was a graduate of Ligett School in Bloomfield , MI. She graduated from University of South Carolina with a BSN, practicing at the Myrtle Beach HCA and for many years at Wm.Jennings Bryan Dorn VAMC where she retired from.

Dressage was her passion in her early years. Later in her down time she worked with her beloved dog, Dakota, with Search and Rescue working over 40 days at the World Trade Center site after 9/11. Charlene was a voracious reader and political junkie, loving our country and military, concerned about it's current direction.

Charlene treasured her inclusion in First Nation Cree beliefs with her beloved husband Jean-Christian and a reverence for mother earth. She will be missed.
