Charles R. "Charlie" Simpson
July 3, 1954 — February 4, 2021
Charlie Simpson residing in Goose Creek, SC passed away at home on 4 February 2021.
after battling 3 cancers within a 3 year period. His faith lead him on a peaceful end-of-
life journey with his wife and sister by his side.
Charlie was born on 3 July 1954 in Charlotte, NC to the late LaVerne Ingram Simpson and Charles R. Simpson, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Nettles Simpson; his sister Carolyn Morris; many sister and brother in-laws; and nieces and nephews.
Charlie retired after 35 year of service with CNSY, NNSY and TRF Kingsbay while performing refueling operations, training, preparing work procedures and auditing work with associated materials. He was a gentle person with a big heart. Had a contagious laugh, a big beautiful smile and saw the bright side of every situation.
His favorite verse was John 10:10 (Amplified Version), “… I (Jesus) came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)”. Charlie loved and was loved. He will be missed.
Agape Hospice gave Charlie exceptional care during his final days on earth. The staff
was a blessing to him and his family.
