Corey Nicholas Mizzell, 37, of Charleston, SC entered eternal rest on Monday June 8, 2026.

Corey was born and raised on Johns Island and was the son of the late William Edward Mizzell Sr. and Donna Boyer Mizzell. Corey attended St. Johns High School and started a job at McDonalds where is climbed the ladder quick and became a manager for many years.

In Corey’s spare time he loved the beach, road trips, event planning and decorating and he was a makeup artist. Corey loved to sing, dance, laugh and talk about old memories with friends and family. He has 2 fur babies named Chitty and Fritty that he adored.

Corey is survived by his brother William E. Mizzell Jr., his Aunt Teena Boyer Bradley who was like his mother, his Special Friend and roommate Henry Jones, his nieces Emerald and Sapphire Mizzell, cousins Louis, Ryan, Daniel, Amy, Ellison, Hutson, Eli, Andrew, Tusami, Amanda, Avery, Andrew, Nicki, TJ, Phillip ,Ricky, Chelsea, Ethan, Ella, Arlyn, Frank and Erin.

Corey was preceded in death by his Little Cousin Olivia Nicole Grimes, His Grandparents Jack and Alma Mizzell and Barbara and Edward E. Boyer.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
