It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Courtenay Deviveo Sewell, 53, who transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, surrounded by family.

He is survived by 2 younger sisters, Cynthia Sewell and Stephanie Sewell, and 2 nieces, Morgan Epinger and Madison Epinger.

The family of Courtenay Sewell would like to invite you to attend his Celebration of Life Service, which will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Salem Missionary Baptist Church, located at 570 Rutledge Ave., Charleston, SC 29403.

If anyone would like to send flowers, they can be sent directly to the church for the service.

The family is very grateful for your love and support during this trying time.
