David Edward Beltzhoover, 61, of Folly Beach, SC, passed away on April 26, 2024 in a house fire. Dave was born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on February 1st, 1963.

He is survived by his adored daughter, Hailee (Dallas) Beltzhoover Zuniga, step-son Josh (Kaitlin) Drawdy, Faye Schultz, (mother), Richard Beltzhoover (father), and brothers George (Tari) Beltzhoover and Geoffrey (Amy) Beltzhoover.

Dave was a loving father, son, brother and an exceptional friend to his many chosen family members in and around the Folly Beach area. Dave was an undeniable staple of the Folly Beach community, known affectionately as "Parking Lot Dave" or "Smiley Dave" for his infectious positivity and love for the town. His presence earned him the title of "Super Dave," a real-life superhero whose superpower was his kind soul and ability to spread joy to everyone he encountered. Dave's impact on Folly Beach and its people is immeasurable, leaving a lasting legacy of love and community spirit. He was an avid supporter of the Chicago Bears and the biggest Walter Payton fan. Dave also cherished the moments spent with his daughter, Hailee, who was the light of his life.

A celebration of life to honor David's legacy will be held at a future date in Folly Beach, where loved ones will gather to pay tribute to a life lived with wholehearted enthusiasm and love.
