Listen to Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dawna Lynette Trevino (Reece), who passed away June 18 2026, in Aiken, South Carolina, at the age of 64. Dawna was born on March 15, 1962, in El Monte, California, to James and Nancy Reece. She lived a vibrant life filled with determination, laughter, and love for those around her. She is survived by her sisters, Debra and Tera; her children, Desiree Vasquez, CJ Prescott, and Sharnee Prescott; her grandchildren, Destiny Lopez, Kaely Vasquez, Kaden Vasquez, Dominic Vasquez, and Jayden Prescott. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. Dawna spent many years as a successful shoe salesperson in Beverly Hills, California, where she had the opportunity to serve many celebrities. After relocating to South Carolina, she worked at Belk before becoming a landlord, a role she took pride in as she built a life in her new community. Those who knew Dawna will remember her larger-than-life personality, her love for animals, music, minions, wizards, adventure and the colorful spirit she brought wherever she went. She had a unique ability to make an impression on everyone she met and lived life on her own terms with passion and authenticity. Though she is no longer with us, Dawna's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.
