Debra Ann Mercer

Debbie Ann Mercer, 67 of Gaston, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Born on May 24, 1958, in Newport News, VA was a daughter of the late Helen Mercer (Burke) and Jack Mercer.

Debbie is preceded in death by Helen Mercer (Burke) (Mother), Jack Mercer (Father), Andy Mercer (Brother), Kisten Mercer (Niece).

Debbie is survived by her son Justin Mercer, daughter Megan (Toncy) McNish, grandchildren Brayden Mercer, Lucas McNish, Olivia McNish, brother Steve (Cara) Mercer, sister Terri Mercer, great niece Mikaela Machuca, great nephew Carlos Mercer, and friends Carie Eyre, Anita Duncan.

Debbie served in the U.S. Air Force. She also spent most of her life working in textile mills and as a baker. Debbie was a caring woman that work tirelessly to provide for her children and would help anyone in need. She loved spending time with her grandkids and family/friends, planting flowers, and going shopping.

The world lost a beautiful soul, but heaven gained an amazing angel. She will be greatly missed by everyone that crossed her path.
