Dorothy "Ann" Trayal, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. She was born on January 22, 1942, and lived a life rooted in love, kindness, and connection with others.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin J. Forte, and her son, James D. Lee.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Michael Lee (Tessa), Sherry Lemacks (Luke), Michelle Beach, Angela Trayal, and Georgia Rabert (Rick). She was also a proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Ann called the Ansonborough House home for the past 17 years, where she became a beloved and familiar presence to so many. She could often be found greeting fellow residents and those passing by with a warm smile, always ready with a kind word or friendly conversation. Whether sitting outside or simply watching the day go by, Ann made people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for-turning ordinary moments into lasting connections.
Ann's sense of humor was one of her most endearing qualities. In true Ann fashion, she passed on April Fool's Day-almost as if she was leaving everyone with one last playful moment. Those who knew her can't help but smile, knowing she would've found that timing just right.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her warmth, her humor, and her genuine love for people. She had a special way of making others feel at ease, and her presence brought comfort and light to everyone she encountered.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
