Edward Cramer Hook, lovingly known as "Ed and Eddie," passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 60. 

A resident of Green Sea, South Carolina, Ed was born on February 26, 1966, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Kenneth James Dupont and Eva Rosetta Hook. 

Ed was a follower of Christ whose faith guided every aspect of his life. He loved sharing God's Word and taught for 8 years. Above all else, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy was his family. He always wanted the very best for those he loved and spent his life caring for them in every way he could. 

For many years, Ed proudly worked as an electrician and was a dedicated member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). He was known as someone who could fix just about anything and was willing to lend a helping hand. Whether working around the house or helping someone in need, Ed's generosity and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. 

Outside of work, Ed enjoyed woodworking, riding bicycles, spending time on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and fishing. He found peace in the outdoors and treasured every opportunity to create memories with his family, whether on adventures, vacations, or simply gathered together at home. His grandchildren affectionately knew him as "Poppy" and “Grandpa” , a title he cherished deeply. 

Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Rosetta Hook; his father, Kenneth James Dupont; his brother, Kenneth Dupont Jr.; his daughter, Tabitha Tilton; and his grandchildren, Kya and Nicholas Page. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Dawn Hook; his children, Tabetha Lea, Eva Georgianna, Destiny Lyn Marie, Makayla Marie, Andrew Thomas, and Jeffrey Michael; his brother, Steven Dupont; his sisters, Tammy Dupont and Connie Benitez (Arnoldo); and his treasured grandchildren, Kaleigh, Makayla, Izabella (Alex), Andrew, Tristan, Jeffrey, Ellyanna, Ruby, Anya, Willow, Jasmine, Audrey, and Xavier, along with many extended family members, friends, church family, and brothers and sisters of the IBEW. 

Ed's legacy is one of faith, love, hard work, and quiet service to others. His gentle spirit, steady presence, and servant's heart will be deeply missed, but the impact he made on the lives of those who knew and loved him will continue for generations.
