Frederick “Scott” Paschall passed away, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and genuine kindness that touched the lives of many. Scott was truly one of a kind. He marched to the beat of his own drum, or more appropriately his own tuba in the marching band, and was unabashedly himself in every sense. His authenticity paired with a quick wit and a great sense of humor which made him someone people loved to be around. He had a way of bringing laughter and light into any room, leaving lasting impressions on everyone he met. A man of many talents and passions, Scott expressed himself through his work as a chef, where he brought people together with meals made from the heart, and as a photographer, capturing the beauty of the world through his unique perspective. His creativity was a reflection of how deeply he saw and appreciated life. Scott also found peace and joy in nature. He loved the outdoors, whether kayaking on the water, exploring the mountains, walking through the woods, or simply being near the ocean. And regardless of his geography you could always count on him to be found behind his lens. These places brought him a sense of freedom and connection that mirrored the way he lived his life.
Above all, Scott will be remembered as a devoted son, a caring brother, a proud uncle, and a loyal friend. His genuine spirit and kind heart made him a steady presence in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Olen Frederick Paschall Jr. Scott is survived by his loving mother, Margaret Ann Williams; his stepfather, Edward Eugene Williams; his stepmother, Francine Eleanor Paschall; and his siblings, Joshua Devin Paschall, Brian Edward Williams, Aaron Daniel Geyer, and Elaine Rose Roseberry. He also leaves behind many, nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Scott’s life was a reminder to live authentically, love deeply, and find joy in the world around us.
His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.*A memorial will be held Wednesday, May 6th at 1:00 PM at The Edisto Beach Baptist Church, with reception immediately to follow at The Waterfront restaurant on Edisto Island.
