Gayle Marguerite Price

Gayle Marguerite Price died on October 16, 2025. Gayle had struggled and suffered for many years due to health issues. She finally succumbed to complications of a recent leukemia diagnosis. The smile never left her face as she met each challenge with dignity and grace. She was a woman of great faith, and was ready when the Father called her home.

Gayle was born in Indianapolis Indiana, her family moved to Muncie Indiana when she was a young child. Gayle was active in her church, was class president in high school and loved to swim. She held several youth swimming records. She graduated from Indiana University in 1973. It was at IU where she met husband, Dave. After graduating from IU, she taught High School science and biology classes for three years. She then left the education field and entered the business world working in marketing, sales and management.

Gayle had two sons, Kurtis and Derek. As a mother she was active in fund raising, volunteering for non-profit organizations and in her church. Gayle, known as Gigi, was also devoted to, and greatly spoiled, her grandchild Ruthie.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Price. Her son Kurtis Price, his wife Anne Kelley Russell and daughter Ruth Ellen Price, who live in Charleston, SC. Her sonDerek Price, who lives in Savannah, GA. Her father Dr. Raymond Rothhaar and her mother Arlene Rothhaar of Punta Gorda FL. Additionally, she is survived by sister Karen Siefert, brother Karl Rothhaar, sister Gretchen Trump, sister Kendra Condo, and brother Erich Rothhaar.

A memorial service will be held on November 8, 2025, at 11:00 am. The service will be held at St. Andrews Church, 440 Whilden, St., Mt Pleasant, SC, 29264.

The family asks that in leu of flowers, memorial donations in Gayle’s name be sent to St. Andrews Church at the above address or standrews.church/give.
