In Loving Memory of Grant Alexander Polston

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Grant Alexander Polston, age 23, on June 13, 2026.

Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of those around him will last forever. Grant was a young man whose smile could light up a room and whose kindness touched everyone he met. He had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Whether you knew him for years or only a short time, Grant had a way of making you feel like a friend.

As the youngest—the baby—of a large family of eight children, Grant grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and the occasional chaos that comes with a big family. He embraced his role with a playful spirit and a heart full of affection for his family. He brought joy wherever he went and shared a special bond with each member of his family. To them, he was not only a beloved son and brother but also a source of endless laughter, comfort, and love.

Grant was known for his eccentric sense of humor and his ability to make others feel at ease. He could turn an ordinary moment into one filled with laughter and had a unique way of lifting spirits when people needed it most. His playful personality made him the kind of person everyone enjoyed being around, and his laughter was truly contagious.

An avid lover of video games, Grant found joy in exploring new worlds, taking on challenges, and sharing his passion with friends and family. Whether playing alongside others or discussing the latest game, he created connections through the hobbies he loved and brought the same enthusiasm and energy to gaming that he brought to every part of his life.

A dedicated and hardworking young man, Grant was respected for his strong work ethic, admired for his determination, and appreciated for the positive attitude he brought wherever he went. Even on difficult days, he carried himself with grace and a smile that others will never forget.

Grant was a peacemaker by nature, often helping others find common ground and reminding those around him of what truly mattered. His calm presence, caring heart, and willingness to listen made him someone people trusted and turned to in times of need.

To his family, Grant was much more than a son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and cousin—he was their "Little Hero." That cherished nickname was earned through an act of extraordinary courage when he helped save his family's lives during a house fire. His bravery, selflessness, and love for those he held dear became a lasting testament to the kind of person he was: someone who always put others before himself.

Grant was deeply loved and our family was the center of his world. While words cannot fully express the sorrow of losing him, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, the love he shared, and a community that is better for having known him.

Grant is preceded in death by his father Kenny Dean Polston and survived by his Mother, Ann Polston of Atlanta; his seven siblings, Elise Byers (Michael), Kenny Dupree-Polston (Abigail), Christopher Shaun Polston (Kim), Tatiana Hastings (Chad), Isabelle Polston, Frazier Polston, and Tristin Polston; his nieces and nephews, Scarlett Byers, Evie and Christopher Bryce Polston, and Giavanna and Jax Hastings, who will continue to celebrate his life and his beautiful spirit. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever and carried on in our hearts always.

"Heroes are not measured by the years they live, but by the lives they touch."

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever our Little Hero.
