Guila Donalda Drury (Harris), age 81, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019.
Guila was born in West Virginia, June 20, 1938 to Guila D. Gumm, and Howard Harris. She attended high school in Hogenville, Kentucky and later lived in Harrison, Ohio for many years. Guila was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, since 1964, doing volunteer and charity work. She also loved to paint and make baskets. A lover of animals, gardening and last but not least, the South Carolina Stingrays.
Guila is the wife of Bruce Drury of Goose Creek. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Barry Harris, and half brother Rick High., She leaves behind a step sister Phyllis Humphreys of Pittsburgh, PA and many nieces and nephews. Guila was very loved and will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11:00am at Northwood Baptist Church located at 2200 Greenridge Rd, N Charleston, SC. Family and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Water Mission, 1150 Kinzer St, Bldg 1605, North Charleston, SC 29405. Please feel free to live a tribute on our website.
