Mr. Herman Driggers, age 97, passed away peacefully at his home on January 2, 2024.
Herman was born in Orangeburg, SC to Robert and Edith (Weatherford) Driggers. He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother and son Timothy Driggers.
Herman joined the U.S. Navy during World War II in April 1944 and was assigned to the USS Springfield as a Radioman. He proudly served until October 1947. He was awarded several medals for his service including the World War II Victory medal.
Herman was an avid fisherman spending many mornings bream and bass fishing on the Goose Creek Reservoir. He also loved to read and study the bible, often citing scripture and spreading Gods Word.
Herman is survived by his wife Jean, sons Darryl, James, Steven and Robert Driggers, Daughter Sandra Knapic and many grand and great grandchildren.
