Jacqueline Huiett

November 10, 1955 — February 11, 2024

St. George

Ms. Jacqueline "Jackie" Huiett of Columbia, South Carolina was born on November 10, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Robert Huiett and Pearlie Mae Hall-Huiett. God called his angel home on Sunday, February 11, 2024, when she peacefully flew away at Berry Manor Boarding Home in St. George, South Carolina.

Jackie was a proud graduate of A.C. Flora High School in Columbia, South Carolina. She was a firecracker who had a very extensive "swearing" vocabulary. She never sugar coated her thoughts and you always knew exactly what was on her mind, but she had a heart of gold. She would give anyone the shirt off her back but it came with a few choice words.

Jackie's greatest accomplishment in life was raising her only son, Marcus. He was her most prized possession. She loved him unconditionally. He was by her side when she took her last breath. Outside of Marcus, Jackie loved all of her siblings. She came from a family of twelve. Jackie may have hung up on her siblings a time or twelve but her love was genuine. She would always call back like nothing happened. Her favorite past times were indulging in fried chicken, beans, Pepsi and cigarettes. As long as she had those items in her possession, it was a great day! Jackie also enjoyed fashion, music and dancing! She kept the radio blasting as she danced in her finest attire.

She was proceeded in death by: her parents; her sister, Rachel Huiett-Williams; her brothers, Lee Arvine Hall, Willie Patrick Huiett, Randall Huiett and Robbie Huiett.

Jackie leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved son, Marcus Huiett of Columbia, South Carolina; sisters, Ossie (Cliff) Edmonds of Greenville, North Carolina, Shirley Huiett of Hampton, Virginia, and Juliet (Brent) Geiger of Columbia, South Carolina; brothers, Richard (Minnie) Huiett and Solomon Huiett of Hopkins, South Carolina, Donell (Alma) Huiett of Columbia, South Carolina; aunt, Toni Wilson of Greenville, North Carolina; cousin/brother, Fredrick (Tammy) Parrish of Jacksonville, Florida; nieces, Robyn "Mia" (Patrick) Brown, Petra Porter, Courtney Huiett, Ebony (LC) Huiett-Eaddy, Destiny Huiett; nephews, Willie Huiett, Zeitori Huiett, Brent Geiger, Jr.; special friends and caregivers, Deanna and Patrick (Top Ramen) Berry; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her greatly.

On behalf of the Huiett Family, special thanks to Deanna Miller-Berry and Patrick Berry for Welcoming Jackie to Dee's House! The love and compassion shown to Jackie made her remaining days on Earth memorable and peaceful!

Donations can be made to Berry Manor Boarding Home at 203 Delano Street, St. George, South Carolina 29477.
