Janice Julia Madey of Pawleys Island, SC passed away on Tuesday, May 26th in Charleston, SC. Her death was unexpected.
Janice is survived by her children; Nicole Madey, Phillip and Michelle Madey, Jason and Becky Madey, and Michael and Megan Madey and her 9 grandchildren; Mickey, Noah, Isaac, Isabella, Grace, Libbie Kate, Peyton, Piper and Colson. Also survived by her seven sisters.
Janice was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 23rd, 1946. She grew up in Amityville, NY. She was the second daughter of Alice and Anthony Quent. Janice was one of twelve children.
Janice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is now resting peacefully with her beloved husband, John. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in November of 2019. She loved a good laugh, was honest to the core, had a sweet tooth like no other, and was an amazing cook who loved to entertain especially around the holidays. She loved being around her family and friends.
A celebration of life is in the process of being planned by the family.
