Jennifer Renee Clay (Becker), 47, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Born on May 25, 1976 in Cumberland, MD, Jennifer is the daughter of Ms. Joyce A. Becker of Goose Creek, South Carolina and Mr. Lawrence F. Becker of Cumberland, Maryland. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas and Ruth Shoemaker of Keyser, West Virginia and Frances and Marylin Becker, great-grandparents, George and Rachel Becker, well as her Uncle's Howard Shoemaker and Patrick Becker, and her Rottie, Bubba.
Jennifer worked in the medical field for many years in both South Carolina and Florida.
Jennifer was six months away from receiving her Master's Degree in Counseling and wanted to go into the field to help those that struggle with addiction, as she had her own struggles in the past. She also founded several online support groups and networks targeted at helping those with addiction issues in an effort to help each and every person that she could, the Facebook groups Addictsfightingtheirdemons and Narcissistfinallyrevealed. Jennifer owned RJP Enterprises LLC, was a member of the Navy Wives of America Club, a licensed notary public for the state of South Carolina, and a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Goose Creek, South Carolina. Jennifer was well known for her contagious laugh and her love of the USC Gamecocks.
Jennifer was also an organ donor who was able to donate her kidneys to save the lives of others.
Jennifer is survived by James Becker (Amy) (Brother), beloved nieces, Marissa and Sarah Becker, Daniel-Webster Clay (Husband), Aunts and Uncles, Nancy and Thomas Rinker, Gay Grogg, Jerry and Susan Becker, Carol Myers, and Richard Becker.
