Jennifer E. Shelton

Jennifer E. (Jones) Shelton, 57 of Charleston, SC passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024 at her home. Jennifer was born on August 2, 1967 in Mt. Vernon, IL, to Edward A. N. Jones and Betty F. (Galloway)(Jones) Rector. 

Jennifer worked as a paralegal and office administrator for most of her career. She was working as an US Passport Office clerk at the time of her passing. She was an avid fan of Marilyn Monroe, collecting many pieces of memorabilia through the years. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Maxell and Debra ( Haines) Galloway of Bluford, IL, Brother Edward Jones II, an infant sister; several uncles and aunts. 

She is survived by her two sons, Blake Shelton ( Samantha) of Elkhart, IL and Kyle Shelton of Windsor, IL; Brothers Randy Jones of Granite City, IL and Jonathan Rector of Charlotte, NC; a niece Autumn Rector of Albemarle , NC ; several uncles, aunts and cousins. 

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date near her original hometown of Mt Vernon, IL. Expressions of sympathy may be shared or submitted online at palmettocs.com.
