Jesse O. Meetze

Jesse O. Meetze Jr, age 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026, at his home in Swansea, SC surrounded by his family. 

He was born January 15, 1961, in New Rochelle, NY, to Jesse and Linda Meetze. He graduated from Austin High School in El Paso, Texas, Class of 1980. He worked as a Plumber with Karl Sites Plumbing, in West Columbia, for more than 20 years. 

Jesse was known as Garfield, lovingly named by friends and family, for his "grumpy" attitude, and sweet, selfless nature towards loved ones. He lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as fishing, collecting sentimental items, and spending time with family. He had the ability to reach people in a deep and positive way often through advice given, and his childlike personality. 

He is survived by his daughter, Tina (William) Meetze-Rhinehart; Granddaughters, Bianca and Jessica; Great Grandson, Axl Thomas; Great granddaughter, Maisie Elliot; Parents Jesse (Linda) Meetze; brother, Stephen Meetze; and Sister Viki (Jason) Miller, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family, friends, and others whose lives Jesse touched are invited to the (Funeral Home, time, date) to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, celebrate the life we loved and lost.
