Jose Molina Palacios

Jose Molina Palacios 71 of Goose Creek, passed away on May 16th 2026.

Born to, also proceeded in death by Teresa Palacios Ramos and Jose Molina Garcia in Spain. Growing up, Jose always enjoyed dancing and worked at a disco. He would meet his first wife Barbara Aler while working at the disco bar. Barbara was stationed in Spain with the US Navy. They would marry and come to the states in 1981. They had 2 daughters Jennifer Bell and Melissa Molina-Mattix (Aaron). 

Jose would later meet his second wife Tammy Molina at an Elvis impersonation concert at The Plex here in North Charleston. When Jose and Tammy married in 2007 He added 2 step daughters to his family Priscilla Meeks and Amanda Meeks (Dustin). The family would grow even more with 4 grandchildren Donovan Days, Raziel Olson, Ellysium Mattix, Sienna Mattix.

Before retiring in 2019, Jose worked for the Goose Creek parks and recreation for 21 years helping to keep our local parks beautiful for the community. 

Jose had a passion for cooking. Jose took pride in the meals he made and always made sure everyone he loved and cared about had something good to eat. Jose enjoyed spending many weekends at the flea-market where he would feed and talk with his many friends. 

Jose also had a Life-long passion for fishing and boating. He enjoyed many adventures, over the last 71 years, around various waterways.

Jose was a loving husband, father, grandfather, in-law and friend to many.

A celebration of life will be held on his birthday July 30th 2026. Time and place TBD.

In lieu of flowers, please enjoy a meal with your loved ones in honor of him. That is what he appreciated most.
