Born on May 16, 1958 in Columbus, GA, he was a Son of the late Elizbeth Shuler Wald and late Julius Wald.
Larry was a mechanic by trade and spent time in Afghanistan supporting US troops. He enjoyed Nascar and (mostly) Gamecock sports. Gamecock fandom is a painful existence, one he knew well. He also loved animals. He was always willing to lend a hand to help people with anything he could. He will be missed by his family, but he is at peace and reunited with his wife.
Larry is preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 40 years, Deborah Copeland Wald and both parents.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Lily Wald and son, A.J. Wald along with brother Bob Wald (Betty) of Columbia, SC and sister Terry Lowman. Along with many neices, nephews and great neices and great nephews,
At this time, no formal funeral arrangements have been made. His ashes will be spread in the mountains of North Carolina along with his late wife.
