Leon Quintin Murray Sr. passed on May 24, 2026
Leon Murray, son of the Late Leon Murray and Shirley Brown, was born in York, Pennsylvania. Leon graduated from Bel-Air High, June 10, 1977 and went into the military that same year. Leon was stationed in North Dakota, Delaware, Belgium, Washington State and retired in South Carolina.
Leon was united in marriage with the love of his life, Crystal Lynn Amos on May 31, 1980. And, together, they had four beautiful children.
After 24 years years of service, Leon retired as a Master Sergeant, then preceded to attend college and earned a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Business Administration.
Leon loved playing sports and coaching his two sons, Anthony and Leon Murray Jr., at the Danny Jones Recreational Center. Leon also love playing darts and softball with his friends and was very competitive. Leon enjoyed taking family vacations to Maryland to visit family and friends. He will be sincerely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Leon leaves to be mourned by: his wife, Crystal L Murray; his two daughters, Marshelle Parnell and Roshelle Murray; his two sons, Leon and Anthony Murray; his grandchildren Teona and Lalonie Simmons, Kevin Simmons, Devin Whack, Cayden Brown, Davonte and Jakari Parnell and son-in-law, Antonio Parnell ; his sister Vanessa Murray and brother, Norris Murray; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Murray and Shirley Brown, sisters Michele Brown and Mabel Murray: and brother Eddie Murray.
With that I heard a loud voice from the the throne say:
"Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they willbe his people.
And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from the eyes and death will be no more,
neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
The former things have passed away."
