Linda Munro, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully this morning at The Village at Summerville, surrounded by love and care. We extend our deepest gratitude to the staff for their compassion and kindness during her final moments.
Born on January 23, 1945, in Toronto, Canada, Linda lived a life defined by grace, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She cared tenderly for her husband, James B. Munro, and her daughter, Nancy Munro, in their final days-a testament to her selflessness and boundless heart.
Linda is survived by her son, Bradley J. Munro and his wife, Cecelia; her grandson, Marcus Jackson; her brother, Ronald Thompson; and an extended family who adored her. Linda's life was rich with purpose and joy. She managed a bakery in Lewiston, NY, where her warmth and laughter were as sweet as the treats in the displays. During her years in New York, she was an active member of Youngstown Presbyterian Church, living out her faith as a devoted Christian. Later, she moved to sunny Charleston, South Carolina, where her best friend and family welcomed her with open arms and embraced her as "Aunt Linda"-a gift we will cherish forever.
Those who knew Linda will remember her as a unique soul who always wore a smile - a beacon of kindness and positivity. Her love was limitless, her spirit unshakable, and her presence simply amazing. She touched countless lives with her generosity and her ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Linda's legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but forever celebrated.
The family and extended family will honor Linda's life in a private ceremony, where her ashes will be lovingly spread.
In lieu of flowers, tributes may be sent to Youngstown Presbyterian Church, a place that held a special place in her heart. We invite you to share a memory and sign our guest book.
