Lois-Anne Crawford

Lois-Anne Crawford, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away in her sleep on April 28th, 2025, after a long and courageous battle following a major stroke. She was 79 years old.

She was born in Waterville, Maine, on February 15, 1946, and was the youngest child of Marita and Joseph Hughes. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1964 and later pursued higher education.

She was married to Dr. Joseph R. Crawford from 1982 until he died in 1988. Joe was the love of her life, and she never remarried after his passing.

Lois-Anne had a passion for interior design, antiques, and collectibles. For many years, she would drive all over the East Coast searching for antiques and rare finds. She had several businesses throughout Maine where she sold antiques, reproductions, and home furnishings. She was known for having an exceptional eye for detail and was very talented.

She was an amazing cook, baker, and avid animal lover. She loved music, dancing, and holidays, which she always made so special. Being a mother and a Nonni was her greatest joy. She had an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile.
