Mrs. Lorraine George , 79 of Hanahan South Carolina died Monday December 21, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Oscar George; three daughters Cynthia Poole of Summerville, Renee’ Swain (Ken Moody) of Moncks Corner and Suzanne Wilson (Yancy) of Summerville; sister, Rosalind Mathis of Summerville; niece Michelle Baker (Wayland) of N. Charleston; five grandchildren, Jeremy Poole (Nicole), Christopher Poole and Amelia Wilson of Summerville, Nicole Burbage (Shiloah) and April Moody (Tradd Giles) of Moncks Corner; three great grand children Hudson Poole, Kaylin and Charlotte Byrn of Summerville.
While the family appreciates the love and respect being shown to them, based in the rise of Covid cases, they want to assure family and friends that they should not feel obligated to attend the service and the George family does not want anyone to put themselves at risk simply to attend.
Services will be Sunday December 27th at Palmetto Cremation Society, 5638 North Rhett Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Family visitation 12:00PM, friends at 12:30PM and service following at 1:30PM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital or SPC.
