Lynwood Jarriott Campbell Sr., 73, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on November 30, 2025.
Born in Florence, SC, Lynwood dedicated his life to his family and all of the families’ fur babies, his work in construction as a Drywall Technician, and his love of motorcycles and older cars. His unwavering work ethic, along with his kindness and humor, defined the way he lived. His more than 60-year career in drywall earned him the nickname “the Drywall Guy,” respected by all who worked with him. His passion for old cars and motorcycles allowed him to build lasting friendships and connections throughout his life. Lynwood’s lifelong dedication, integrity, and generosity will be honored and remembered by all who knew him.

Lynwood was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin J. Campbell and Beatrice J. Campbell; his son, Lynwood J. Campbell Jr.; his brother, Michael Campbell; and his brother-in-law, Johnny Gelzer.

He leaves behind his daughter, Sabrina C Branham (Bobby); his granddaughter, Brittany A Van Acker (Preston); his great-grandchildren, Arthur and Bobbi; his sister, Wanda Gelzer; his nephew, Scott Gelzer (Bre); his niece, Cassie Gelzer; and his great-nephew, Kai.

Brittany held a truly special place in his heart. Their bond was filled with laughter, trust, and countless shared moments. She was his pride and joy—the person who could always bring out his warmest smile. When she became a mother, the arrival of his great-grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness and renewed purpose.

Later in life, Lynwood became a devoted dad to his four-legged companion, “Little Man” Winston. Their bond was unbreakable. Winston brought him comfort, laughter, and steady companionship—keeping him grounded and loved. They were a pair in every sense, equally stubborn, equally adored, and, as the family lovingly joked, equally deaf—making them the perfect match.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 13, from 3–5 p.m. at New Hope Methodist Church, 1242 Jedburg Road, Summerville, SC 29486. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and honor his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the humane society in his and Winston’s memory.
