Marcia Smith Little

December 17, 1958 - August 14, 2026

Marcia Smith Little, 67, went peacefully home to Jesus on Friday, August 14, 2026 in Summerville, SC.  Marcia was born on December 17, 1958 to Roy Eugene Smith and Anne Raines Smith in Beaufort, SC.

From the young age of 5, she has lived out her faith and has shared the love and hope of Jesus with others. In addition to be a loving and dedicated mother, Marcia faithfully served on mission wherever the Lord placed her–as a teacher in a classroom, being a prayer warrior for many, serving in various church ministries in the churches she attended, and being the hands and feet of Jesus with whomever she encountered, leaving people feeling encouraged, joyful, and uplifted.

Over the past 12 years, Marcia was a faithful member of the online campus of Free Chapel in Gainesville, GA and would also watch services of Calvary Chapel Summerville online at times with her daughter.

Marcia joins her parents, Roy Eugene Smith and Anne Raines Smith; her stepmom, Betty Emerson Long Smith; and her sister, Deborah Smith Curtis, in heaven.

She is survived by her three children, Zeddie Watkins Little V (Brooklyn, NY), Alixandra Raines Little (Summerville, SC), and John Grayson Little (Charleston, SC); her sister, Robin Smith Thomas Bessent and her brother W. H. Mac Smith.

A Celebration of Life Service for Marcia Smith Little will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 2:00pm at Calvary Chapel Summerville.

In lieu of flowers, please give in Marcia’s honor to Bread of Life Mission, an organization that was near to her heart and she prayed for consistently.www.breadoflifemissions.org

Psalm 91:4-7–He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.

Psalm 91:11–For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. Numbers 6:24-26–“The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”

Psalm 23–The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
