Matthew Arthur Deiss

Matthew Arthur Deiss, age 54, passed away on January 7, 2026, in Charleston, South Carolina, due to post-surgical complications.

Matthew was born on February 21, 1971, in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Arthur and Reba (Myers) Deiss.

Matthew spent much of his life in Ohio, where he built lasting relationships and a reputation for being personable, driven, and dedicated to his passions.

Matthew was the proud father of Jackson Deiss (18) and Isabella Deiss (16) of Bethel Township, OH and stepfather to Candice Mullins (30) and granddaughter Ivy Jean Cross of Vandalia, OH.

He is also survived by his sisters, Lisa Roe (Tucker) and Lori Brown (Douglas), along with many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur W. Deiss, his mother, Reba Jane (Myers) Deiss and his sister Mary Leslie Feld.

For many years, Matthew worked as a realtor in Oxford, Ohio, where he was known for his work ethic, ability to connect with people, and love of laughter. More recently, he was employed by Domino’s Pizza, Tega Cay, South Carolina, where he continued to demonstrate his strong commitment and reliability.

Matthew was an avid sports fan and took great pride in cheering for Miami University and The Ohio State University, as well as, the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds. His love for sports was well known and often a source of lively conversation and connection with others.
