Mrs. Melba Ann Cantrell, 77, of Lexington, SC, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday morning, September 1st, 2024. She was her mother's birthday surprise.
Born on September 7th, 1946 in Seneca, SC, she was the youngest of nine children of the late Pearl Smith (Baumgarner) and Walter Smith.
Melba loved the Lord with all of her heart. She lived life to the fullest while she could and was a devoted music enthusiast. She adored her family and spent her remaining years surrounded by loved ones. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Melba is preceded in death by Walter Smith (Father), Pearl Smith (Mother), Thomas Cantrell (Spouse) and seven brothers and sisters.
Melba is survived by her daughter Stephanie Tyler (Troy), son Chad Williams, son Anson Cantrell, sister Lucie James, grandsons William Collins, Jr. (Ashlee) and Julian Tyler, granddaughter Saylor, great-grandchildren Alexander and Lawson and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life memorial in the coming weeks, details to be communicated at a later date.
