Melissa Anderson Brazell, 58, of Swansea, South Carolina, went to her heavenly home on August 27, 2026.

Born on June 19, 1968, in Lexington, South Carolina, Melissa was a devoted wife to her husband, Randy, for over 40 years. She spent her life devoted to her faith, her family, and her dogs, Rebel, Jackson, and Lilly.

Melissa graduated from Gilbert High School in 1986 and went on to raise her family along with her long career as a paralegal. After her retirement, she spent her days loving on her grandchildren and traveling with her friends, Mark and Adrienne Price, to the mountains and the beach. When they were not traveling, Melissa enjoyed watching NASCAR, Gamecock football, thrifting, and visiting friends with her beloved husband.

Above all else, Melissa cherished time spent with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose love, guidance, and kindness will be deeply missed.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Randy; her sons, Mike (Samantha), Zach (Christina), Ryan (Janaya), and Josh (Keri); and her 11 grandchildren, Ginny, Hannah, Maddie, Emma, Harper, Ella, Abigail, Greyson, Victoria, Alex, and Calvin; along with her brother, Steve, and her sister, Susie.

Melissa also wanted to say a special thank you to her high school teacher and cherished friend, Mrs. Susan Wright, for her guidance, words of wisdom, and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrna and Franklin Anderson, along with her brothers, Johnny and Terry, and her beloved grandson, Connor.

Her celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, September 5, at 2 PM at Radius, Centerville Church.

4335 Augusta Hwy, Gilbert, SC 29054

In lieu of flower arrangements, Melissa requested potted flower shrubs or plants.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to her caregivers, her hospice nurses, and all the friends that brought peace in her last days. The care, compassion, and support she received will not be forgotten.

Melissa’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
