Michael James Faber, 73 of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. 

Born on December 15, 1952 in Fairfield, OH, to the late Amy Faber and David Faber Sr. and was lovingly raised by his stepmother, Doris Faber.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, David Faber Jr. 

Michael loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He also had a passion for music, particularly jazz. 

Michael is survived by his daughter, Lauren Faber; his son, Adam Faber and daughter-in-law, Corrina Faber; his step-grandchildren Bryce and Alexa Sundstrom, and his friend Caroline Faber 

The service will be held at 3 p.m. on October 2nd at Fort Jackson National Cemetery 4170 Percival Rd in Columbia SC.
