Michael Lee “Mike” Irwin, 70 of Dalzell, South Carolina, peacefully passed on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Born on May 29, 1956, in Encino, CA Michael was a son of the late Eileen Farmer McGowan and Wayne Irwin.

Mike was the youngest of 3, his brother, Wayne Irwin and his sister, Dallas Cappetto, the oldest, who preceded him in death.

He spent much of his life in LaCrescenta and joined the Navy in 1974. He was stationed on the USS Ranger and was honorably discharged in 1978. He moved to Washington, where he met his first wife, Terri. He then met Tina in Alameda, California, they married in Port Orchard, Washington and spent the next 37 years building memories and having adventures.

Mike loved God, Family, and his Country. He was passionate about friends and family. He loved his motorcycle. Mike loved the rides that he and Tina would take whether it be to Sturgis, the Blue Ridge Mountains or just some place to find lunch that they hadn't been to before. He enjoyed the people who would come up to him when BikerDogs Rikki and Roxee were on the motorcycles. Mike loved the many adventures that he shared with his best friend, Steve, night ops, snowboarding, and mountain biking. He loved to hunt and fish. Hunting with his daughter and son-in-law was a great pleasure and fishing with his sons was always one of his most cherished memories. Camping with his daughter and her family was a favorite thing to do. Family Dinners were the best time for him. During the holidays when everybody got together were very important to him. Mike had very fond memories of those dinners and family get togethers.

Mike is survived by his wife, Tina, his children Misty McEnany (Kyle), Dade Irwin (Samantha), Alicia Irwin (Dan) and Justin Irwin (Katie); brother Wayne Irwin (Kathy); nephew Jason Irwin (Eve); niece Janine Chism; 15 grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren.

Services will be held in September at Barrancus National Cemetery in Pensacola Florida. Date to be determined. All are welcome.
