Michael Jay Johnson

Michael Jay Johnson, 72 of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

Born on May 23, 1951 in Charleston, SC was a son of the late James Johnson and Hilda Johnson (Ray).

He graduated from Garrett High School in 1969. He was a lover of cowboy boots and motorcycles. As he rode through his journeys of life he always bore witness about God to anyone he came in contact with from family to random strangers.

Michael is preceded in death by his father James Alton Johnson 2019 and by his mother Hilda Mae Johnson in 2006.

Michael is survived by his childern Michael Shawn Johnson and Kimberly Johnson Chancy; his three grandchildren Candice Chancy, Amber Chancy, and Hannah Johnson; and his five great grandchildren Emmalyn Moore, Brantlee Blocker, Aubrey Blocker, Lilyana Chancy, and Briella Chancy.

The family will receive family and friends on Saturday January 27, 2024 from 11am to 5pm at 422 Omaha Dr. Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
